Dear Brothers and
Sisters in Islam
Peace and blessing of Allah be upon the
Prophet Muhammad  who provided us an
opportunity to be rightly guided and follow Allah’s commandments as they
should be followed. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship
except Allah and we bear witness that Muhammad, peace be upon him, is His
Rasool. The best of the statements is the Book of Allah and the best of the
guidance is the guidance provided by Muhammad .
We hope that Insha Allah you will be in excellent health and Islamic Spirit
striving hard for the cause of Islam and the pleasure of Allah
On behalf of Zakatul Mall Inc., we
would like to invite you to participate in the establishment of this 3rd
Pillar of Islam. Allah has commanded us in the Qur’an:
“Allah said, I am with you only if you establish Salat and pay Zakat” –
(5:12)
We would like you to be our partners in this project. We cannot continue
this mighty effort of establishing this Pillar of Islam without your help.
We shall be happy to send you any information that you would like to have.
We are in the process of developing a comprehensive program for the
education of Muslims relating to this most neglected Pillar. As you know
Salat and Zakat are two most important acts of worship. Salat is training
for the acts of worship relating to body and soul, while Zakat is the
training for the acts of worship relating to wealth. There are only two kind
of obligatory rights and duties. First are the rights of Allah
and their related duties. Second are the
rights of other human being and their related duties. Salat prepare the
believers to fulfill the Rights of Allah, while the Zakat play a role to
fulfill the Rights of other human beings. Al-Islam is fulfilling these two
kinds of Rights in a proper Way.
In the establishment of Deen, Zakat is the second most important act of
worship. Salat play the most important role in spiritual elevation, while
Zakat play the most important role in financial stability which is the
backbone of worldly life. Combination of spiritual and worldly lives in a
balanced way is called “Sirat-ul-Mustaqeem” the Right Way. That’s why in the
Holy Qur’an Allah ordered the believers to establish Salat, as well as to
pay the Zakat and these two acts of worship have been obligatory on every
Ummah before us.
May Allah
bless you, your family, your
extended family and help us all to work hard for His pleasure and cause of
Islam in the best interest of Muslim Ummah and may Allah grant us Jannatul
Firdosil-A‘la and nearness to our beloved Prophet Muhammad
on the Day of Judgment.
